Here's a quick start guide on putting these things to work:

Open Modview (of course), and load up the model of choice.
Go into the "Tag Surfaces" section of the model.
Select where you want to put the saber.
You can use *r_hand for the right hand, *l_hand for the left.
Right click the tag, and select "Bolt Model to this Tag Surface".

In the file menu, select a saber you want to load up. This will
likely be in the base/models/weapons2/ directory. If you don't have anything
specific in mind, go into the /modview_saber/ folder and load up the
file mv_hilt.glm .

Whatever you chose to do, your model should now have a saber hilt attached
to it. Now we're going to attach the blade.

Minimize the "Tag Surfaces" of the player model.
At the bottom of the model's sections should now be "BoltOns"
Open that section, and you should the name of the glm you attached.
Open the next section for that model as well.

You're going to see another series of sections. These are for the attached
model. Note how this new series is indented from the main model. It should
be easy to keep track of your place.

Open the "Tag Surfaces" for the hilt you attached to the model.
You should see something like *blade, or *flash.
These are the tags the game uses to pop on a blade.

There may be multiple tags for sabers with multiple blades. Start with the
lowest number and work from there.

Right click on it. Select "Bolt Model to this Tag Surface".
	Go into the models/weapons2/modview_saber/ folder.
Choose a blade. If you don't know, take mv_softblade.glm .

This should pop on a saber blade to that tag. We're almost done now.....

Go into the view menu, and make sure "Using Alpha Blend" is checked.
Also, make sure "showing all polys as double sided" is unchecked.

There you have it! Animate it, do whatever. If for some reason you get
transparency issues with the model... you can uncheck "using alpha blend",
and load up the saber blade "mv_hardblade.glm" .

Changing Blade Colors:

There should now be a "BoltOns" section for the hilt as well. Go into that,
and you'll see the stuff for the attached blade. Expand that and go to
the section "skins available".

Then just pick a color. ;)

That should about do it! I hope you find it useful.
